Institute of Sport Sciences and Physiotherapy of University of Tartu

Institute of Sport Sciences and Physiotherapy of University of Tartu has become a pre-eminent centre of fitness and sport science not just in Estonia but also in Europe, providing science based education at three levels of higher education. The Institute offers high-quality training to coaches, physical education teachers, as well as physiotherapists. In addition to different cooperation partners in Estonia, such as the Estonian Olympic Committee, the Estonian Defence League, the Physical Education Teacher Association Estonia, we also have close cooperation relations in areas related to health for active life with a number of universities. Moreover, we have assumed the role of being in charge of improving physical activity of people in Estonia.

Through their high-level scientific and applied research the Institute of Sport Sciences and Physiotherapy makes significant contributions into promotion and improvement of physical activity and sports in cooperation with other partners in the cluster.
